When there are important events at Hofstra, us as students come together and participate in these causes. For example, Hofstra had the 2nd presidential debate of 2012 and both Obama and Romney came to battle it out. The day before the debate, all of the students participated by helping out with certain causes related to the debate and showed our support for the candidate who we thought was the most effective. The social scene at Hofstra is really lively. There are specific organizations on campus who are constantly putting together new events for the school and working to help the school progress even farther. Overall the facilities are really good.

The sports at Hofstra are really good. Some of the workout equipment that is at the school gym is really hi-tech and helpful. We even have a swimming pool that anyone can use daily if they want to get a few laps in before class or just want to swim for fun. Anyone can use these facilities as long as they are Hofstra students. The basketball teams(men/women) have an individual stadium that they have their annual games in and to practice. Overall the athletics here is really good and the basketball games are really exciting too.
