Im going to be honest - i love UCLA. the people , the campus everything. THE one thing bothering me ? PARTY SCENE! i want to party HARD in college while still getting good grades! i know u guys have one , but i want a GREAT 1 where i black twicee/three times every week!

I'm going to be honest - UCLA is not the type of school where you can "black twice/three times every week" and still maintain good grades. If you want easy A's, don't choose one of the most academically rigorous schools in the country.

loool , so there enough parties around to do it? thats all i want to know?

Aside from Pitzer college, I know a couple of junior colleges where you can do that ans still get a decent grade.

Why are you going to college?

to get a degree AND party extrmely hard.

the party scene looks realllllllllllly good ! its just the weather ? how bad isit?

It completely depends on who you are hanging out with. If you want to, you'll be able to find parties every night of the week all year long. However, they do become much easier to find once it gets warmer and people start to hang out outside more.

so you party every day :o

Party scene?

how often dyou people black out?

beach parties?

hook ups?

Definitely a party scene. People party Thursday night, you go to beach parties on your own, and you can hook up easily at parties.

why on your own ?!!! and how frantic are the parties?

ARE their poool and beach parties?

When I visited, I saw a couple of pools. Since UCLA is near a beach, I would assume there are beach parties every once in a while. lol

are u planning to go the school ? and oh ok where the pools though?

Yeah I plan on enrolling for this upcoming fall! :-D I can't really remember because even though I attended their admit weekend, I'm still pretty unfamiliar with the whole campus. lol I believe the pools are located at the recreation center on campus, but I can't exactly say where it's located.

I want to go to to this school soooo bad. i love the partiess soooooooooo much and deltopia is legandary from where im from. The only thing that im afraid is the academics :L

The Biological Sciences/Chemistry program is difficult, especially Sophomore year. Awesome school!!!! You will get C's and D's if you don't learn to study. Tutoring is awesome. Stop partying and you will do great!!

Set your priorities straight. We do go to college to get an education. It's very possible to stay academically sound and still engage in the party scene once in a while.

Yeah, I think you'd be a better fit for Chico or Arizona if you just want school to be a big ol' party.

UCSB--- All party school. ( 10th best in US for Physics) But mostly a party school.

Hey, how about you just go to Penn State....

Is it true that you have to fight for classes and stuff ? :L

no. everyone gets a first pass meaning you are guaranteed to get classes you really want and that are reserverd for your major. one week later is second pass and you can sign up for classes that are your electives.

Party scene? Beach parties? hook ups? weed ? alcohol??

Probably not the #1 priorities of a Stanford Student

Would suggest you try applying to Humbolt State U for that. Its in terrific part of Cal near where Hitchcock filmed 'The Birds' I believe.

We're actually not that close to the beach....I mean, you could always take a bike to the Baylands, if you like stinky birds and marshland. It's about a 30-60 minute drive to the beach and a lot of the times, it's pretty cold. Frat parties at Lake Lagunita are supposed to be pretty great though, and yes, there is weed, but it's not THAT huge part of Stanford culture.

Are there beach parties??

Beach is around 15-20 minutes from UCLA so not common.

No Body ever leaves Westwood (UCLA area). everyone is too cheap to go outside of Westwood, and usually too cheap to participate in any fun activities other than getting drunk at the frats. Definitely no beach parties, rarely trips to the beach. You forget that the beach is just down Wilshire because no body goes.

Go to UC Santa Barbara for beach parties. In fact, go just about anywhere else, because no one here likes to do anything outside of the area.
