How is the tough is admissions at UNC Chapel Hill?

How tough is the admissions? (TYPO)

It's a pretty selective university; but it isn't absurdly difficult for in-state applicants. Getting in from out-of-state, on the other hand, is almost as difficult as the Ivy League's admissions.

Why is UNC Chapel Hill so difficult to get in?

Because it's a very good school. It's really that simple.

Yes, it is a good school, one of the top schools is the state of North Carolina. Admission is fairly difficult because most people who apply are all valedictorians, club organizers, community leaders, and what have you. It's not solely based on academics, or who has the best SAT score. It's also what you do outside of that. Believe it or not they do look at character, and a person's overall personality. If you are choosing to apply, just be yourself.

Good luck with the "just be yourself" thing. If you're out of state, you have almost no chance, no matter what. The record number of applicants this year didn't help either.
