Northeastern is all about hockey which is a good thing if you're not the type of person who is involved in football culture (a team that NU doesn't have). Hockey games are a fun thing to go to on Friday nights and tickets are free for students.

Boston Weather...

Everything you hear about New England winters is true. I like the snow and cold and am fine with it but after the initial snowfall in November/December all people can do is complain about the weather. We have tunnels for anyone whose classes are located on a specific part of the older campus but those can be annoying to navigate and really slippery when everyone is coming down there from the outside with their snow covered Ugg boots. Classes are also very rarely cancelled when it snows. If they do get cancelled, it's only because professors aren't able to get to campus.
