Luck of the Draw
The freshman dorms at URI are really nice, almost every dorm has air conditioning and there is always a great atmosphere within the hallways. One of the best ways to make friends is within the hallways. As a freshman try to live in Browning, Weldin or Barlow, those are the best dorms though they are all nice. The downfall of campus living is the sophomore dorms. They are the oldest dorms on campus and they are at the bottom of the hill. Several of the dorms are really old and not that nice.

Hitting the Beach
The off campus housing at URI is one of the best parts about the college. Typically students live in Narragansett which is right on the beach. The beaches are beautiful and the neighborhoods are usually all filled with students so the atmosphere is still young. The cost of living is also less than living on campus with more space gained.
