Not Much of a Partier
I'm not much of a partier myself, I prefer to hang out with my friends on my dorm hall and do crazy things together rather than in a party scene. I know there are parties almost every weekend, especially in the apartments, and I've heard that NEFA (the art dorm) usually holds the best parties on campus. I don't know anything about bars or clubs nearby, and transportation is difficult to find unless you have a car or a friend with a car.

Beautiful or Cloudy, Roanoke's Two Weather Choices
Roanoke is nice because of its beautiful mountains and moderate weather. Back when the entire country was buried in snow, we were hardly touched, and in the summer it stays in the high 80's low 90's. In the fall, however, it can rain for weeks on end, so it's not a good place if you get depressed when it's cloudy.

Never Had a Problem, but Know People Who Have
I, personally, had no problems with the financial aid process. They sent me a list of scholarships and loans that were available to me, and i sent back which ones i wanted to accept. Other, however, especially those taking out loans or working on campus, have told me they have had huge issues with the financial aid office, although I don't know the specifics.
