Mandatory Is Safe but Unfriendy Security Staff.
Mandatory ID for building entrance makes the campus feel safer--which is important after the events of 9/11 in my home city. The building guards often exhibit lackluster to poor levels of freindliness and respect.

Comtemporary Eats.
Campus cash is restricted to campus only dining halls and restuarants. Variety includes sandwiches, pizza, and contempoary eats. Not a wide variety on ethnic foods however.

Greek Life in NYC? I Don't Think So, Than You.
Personally as a native New Yorker (of the city) students of greek life seems quite the contradiction of pursuing a higher education in a cultural mecca such as NYC. Greek life is for small suburbs and large 'party' colleges, and whilst they exist at NYU they are viewed as a bit ridiculous by non-Greeks, who wish to immerse themselves in the larger facts of life in the city beyond restrictive childish 'clubs' and 'memberships.' It does not dominate at NYU.
