World Class Education
Cornell is certainly known for its strong academics, and, as many have said, this is a school where many of the professors are some of the top figures in their fields. For example, one of my biology professors was doing research on a developmental mechanism that we were studying in class, and he would keep us updated on his group's findings as we went along. Many of them conduct important research while still keeping a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. Most faculty that I have dealt with so far have also been very accessible for extra help during office hours and study sessions.

Take the Bus
Parking at Cornell can be tough and expensive. It can often be hard to find somewhere to park, and often times you will end up getting a ticket anyway. A parking pass is expensive, so unless you're in a Greek house that has parking, it might not be worth it to bring your car. The buses are pretty reliable and go most places you'll need to go anyway, so you're probably better off getting a bus pass or finding a friend who has a car instead. The campus itself is very walkable.
