Widener University Academics had a new discussion posted by dee1995

I saw where Widener has a low graduation rate. Is that true? If so, is the problem concentrated in certain majors?

I don't believe so. All my friends are graduating on time.

I have never heard that, but I know the graduate programs are really awesome! You just need to know what you want to do with your life and how to get there. The professors are really nice and very knowledgeable.

I know from seeing billboards and when I was applying for colleges that the graduation rate was in the 90 percentile

How is Villanova's engineering program? Does it have a strong reputation?

It has a great reputation, both inside and outside of nova. It's by no means an easy program, but they prepare you with a great foundation (mostly theory) your first two years and eventually ease you into more practical applications (and design).

  • Junior, Mechanical Engineering

A very good program and challenging. A very good reputation. They do a great job of engaging their students (in more than Engrg). You will receive the attention that many students get when they attend graduate school. The kids are getting good internships. Parent of Student

It's a great program and is always nationally ranked.
