Has anyone roomed in a triple? Is it tight living or is it still roomy? And what dorm are triples in?

I live in New Jersey and was accepted about 2 weeks ago over the portal. But I still haven't gotten my letter and info packet. Has this happened to anyone else?? What should I do?

its the same for me, i'm sure we'll get them soon.

Yeah im in PA and it's the same for me. I have heard about financial aid already through the portal but it would be nice to get it in the mail. I heard it takes a few weeks after being admitted though, i wouldnt worry too much

Did your financial aid just revolve around loans? I'm expecting scholarship money but haven't heard back about anything.

No I first heard about my scholarship and then later they posted my grant and loans status

I live in LA and still haven't gotten it do they're probably just behind on sending them

Live in Northern California, same deal. We'll get it eventually and don't worry. Just think about what other colleges and plan about what you will do.

I suggest you all join the USD class of 2017 forum on College confidential if you've applied! (:

delaneykipple14 i also live in nj and i am still waiting on my acceptance letter even though i got admitted over the portal around 2 weeks ago. What part of NJ do you live in? are you definitely going to USD

I just submitted my $500 deposit online to enroll, and I got the receipt emailed to me, but on my portal, it still is telling me to submit the deposit to enroll. Have I enrolled or is there more I am supposed to do?

How are you paying for the school? Is it mostly scholarships or your family's money?

My family's money using a credit card

I suggest you comment on the USD class of 2017 forum on College confidential if you've applied/are going! (:

I applied early action and It says I should have my admission letter around jan 20th but i still haven't gotten it yet. Has anyone else not gotten theirs either ?

My daughter got hers in Dec

Yes, I received mine in Dec also. Good luck!

i also applied early action last year and didn't get my acceptance letter until late. i called the admissions office to ask and they said that there was a problem with my application. they straightened it out right away and i got my letter within the next couple weeks

When do classes normally first start around and when do people begin moving into their dorms?

Classes start anywhere from 745 AM to 6-9 pm at night. The freshmen move into their dorms a week prior to school to have orientation and activities. Otherwise people usually move in a day or two before.

Around the beginning of September and you move in the end of August

what size bed is given in the dorm rooms, twin or twin XL ?

Depending if your living on freshmen dorms or upperclass dorms it may vary. However, the standard for the most part is a twin.

twin XL in the Valley (Missions A and B), Maher, and most of Camino and Founders. A few beds in Camino and Founders have just regular twin beds

How long is USD's winter break usually? When do they usually leave and then go back to school ?

Usually finals week ends around the 20s of December and we go back on late January, almost February.

Are most people partiers at this school? I'm not really into partying and I hope I can find people who aren't either, but still like to be social and have fun

You can definitely have a lot of fun without partying if you get involved with the right clubs on campus.
