Greek life seemed like it was going to be a major aspect of social life at DU, but after rush week died down they aren't prevalent anymore. Frat parties are fun but not necessary to be social. They are always trying to raise money for something though! Sorority girls don't outwardly fit the stereotypes.

Alcohol & Drugs at DU

Honestly, neither have been a problem. If you don't drink, nobody really pressures you to. A lot of people smoke pot but that's because it's a big deal in Colorado, but again- if you don't want to, you normally wont be pressured to. Campus Security is pretty good about keeping underaged drinking to a minimum and helping those that are a danger to themselves or others
