best professors, best history and chinese departments in the world (i'm sure there's more), TAs can sometimes be ~~ but you'd expect that at any school.

Lots of Renovations and Essence of the Old
A lot of buildings are being built/will be built/are being renovated. Awesome library (bass), biggest college gym in the world, beautiful campus.
