We're a "Dry Campus"

No campus is really a dry campus. Most people I know drink, even if they claim they don't. That being said, it's really only the freshman or frat star losers who can't handle their alcohol. I know some people who do hard drugs but almost none. I wish there were more parties but mostly you have to be in a sorority - I'd rather die - or have connections within a frat to have any fun.

Good Transportation

Transportation is great. There are are shuttles that take you to the metro, which you can take pretty much everywhere when it's not broken. They seem to always be doing some meaningless piece of construction on it. If not you can always take a metrobus or taxi. Taxi drivers will try to rip you off, however, especially if it's late and they assume you are intoxicated. Overall there are very few places you can't get to via public transport.
