Academics

TCU has a really good reputation for its pre-med and nursing programs. What they don't tell you is that they are so difficult that the ones that make it through the entire program are only the top 10-15 percent of people who actually start out. Most teachers are good about office hours. Especially freshman year, lectures are not that worth going to.

Lots of places accept Frog Bucks

Off-campus dining is great. Many of the best restaurants allow students to use Frog Bucks, which are included in your meal plan if you pick the right one. I mean who doesnt like Chipotle? The only downside is you can't use Frog Bucks at Fuzzy's, which is a very popular hangout. Most places also offer 20ish percent off to students, but you have to ask.

Girls & Boys

Girls: At one point rated number 2 by playboy magazine. Many good looking girls, though lots of fake ones too. The only place on earth where plastic rainboots, leggings and boating shirts are trendy.

Guys: Guys are okay looking but many ugly ones end up with hot chicks because of the plethora of hot women.

Greek life is big here

Greek life is hugggggge. Lots of girls from different sororities hang out at parties. There's not just one sorority per fraternity—you hang out with people who are like you, not who you are forced to call your friends. There are big parties. Three 6 Mafia even played at one!! Lots of fun, lots of drinking. There are a few rumors that a couple frats roofie drinks, but that has not been proven all that true.

Drugs are around

Everyone drinks. You will see a few entertaining posters like "1 in 4 TCU students would prefer not to have alcohol at parties." They are lying. Most people smoke weed or are okay with others who do. There are lots of prescription drugs and a bit of cocaine. Doing it in the dorms is stupid because they have drug dogs occasionally raid.
