Bizarre
a strange mix of buildings, though most are "nice" in their own respects... wide range of dorms. wide range of space. everything is ridiculously spread out for such a small student population.

Horrible
i haven't noticed the shuttles to be as irregular as others have, although i do have friends who have been stuck at train stations waiting for a shuttle that never came. they definitely aren't really accommodating for the number of people that make use of them. more than once i have felt like i was in a mosh pit trying to get on the bus. once i got my purse ripped off in the crowd and then stepped all over as i tried, to no avail, to alert the bus driver. sometimes they will cap it at 35 passengers, sometimes they will stuff it full of bodies. also, it is pretty difficult to fly in and out of the area if you don't have a car.

A Weird, Weird Place
many girls are used to going out and being hit on just because they are semi-attractive females at parties. this is certainly not the case at bard. for the most part, women have to "advertise" themselves, as a male friend put it, to the pool of available boys. this pool is great for girls who are into the whole skinny hipster douche thing, but for those of us who have had slightly more conservative tastes, it's not satisfactory. lots of sex. not lots of love.

Bring a Printer
i can't speak much to the computers themselves; i don't know that they are really that problematic. however, it is difficult to find someone who has had a smooth process trying to print something at a computer lab; if they are open, the printers are probably not working.

Highs and Lows
it kind of sucks because there is no alcohol AT parties... pre-gaming is a necessity for those who like to drink and be drunk. also, many nights that start out excited and party-hopeful turn into long, dark walks through the woods going back and forth from tewksbury, smog, and cruger. every now and then there will be a really great party; more often, you may enjoy just getting down with dormmates. also, smog can be VERY repetitive; angsty post-punk or high-energy techno that, while fun to dance to, is much more fun to dance to on cocaine (hence the use of cocaine in the bathroom)
