Very Safe
I have never felt unsafe on Ohio University's capus. Everyone is always very friendly and willing to lend a helping hand if you need help around the campus. They have recently been cracking down on the amount of partying so that will help ensure the safety of us as well.

Close Knit
The social life here on campus is very close knit. Everyone knows everyone in Athens because it is such a small town revolved around its campus. There is always stuff to do too and not just party because your in college. The programs offered by the University are top of the line and are great in getting you involved with the programs.

Just Apply
There is no hurt in applying for financial aid as almost everyone has to do it in their college years. My experience here was that they were very helpful and went the extra mile for me.

Fun and Outgoing
At Ohio University both the girls and guys are fun and outgoing along with putting you into a comfortable environment. The whole community acts as its own little city and you become apart of it.

Skip the Bars
The nightlife at Ohio is very fun and there is a lot to do. If you arenot of age though you should skip the bars, they are cracking down on people who are not of age. Though there is a lot of other things to do on and off campus during the night that are just as fun as going to the bars.

Transportation Is Easy
If you are trying to get home for the weekend transportation is not hard to find at Ohio University, there are people who carpool and greyhounds that hit the major cities. Other than that everything on campus is within walking distance at OU.

Rain Rain
In Athens you have to be ready for the weather changes and large amounts of rain that falls here. About every other day you are guaranteed to need your umbrella or experience a slight drizzle. This makes leaving your room to get things done sometimes a bit of a hassle, all and all its not too bad once you get used to it though.
