Decent Quality, Too Much of the Same Thing
The food is, by and large, good. Some dining halls are better than others; while Wright is the main dining hall, Read and Eigenmann have better food. The selection gets tiring very quick, though. The meal plans are fairly good deals, so the largest plan is usually unnecessary--the medium or small plans work perfectly well for most people, and points roll over for one semester.

Not a Central Part of Campus Life
IU has a large number of Greek organizations and many have very nice houses on campus. Greek life isn't a huge deal, though, and they aren't even the best party places. Off-campus parties tend to have friendlier atmospheres and better drinks and no dress requirements for women. People don't make a big deal of being in a frat or sorority, because non-Greek students tend not to care about what Greek students do.

First Choice, Best Choice
IU was my first choice and only one of two colleges I applied to, and I absolutely do not regret this choice. The campus is beautiful, the other students are wonderful, and the professors are fun. Parties here are, of course, a big part of campus life, but you can easily find groups who don't do the party scene.
