Easy to Find Apartment, Difficult to Get Waiver
It is very easy to find an apartment off campus. There are countless apartment buildings, and the towns are so close to Boston, that it is easy to commute to and from school. The difficulty was in getting a waiver to live off campus. Emerson has a very strict rule that freshmen need to live on campus, and there is a lot of hulabaloo to get a waiver in order to live off campus. Finding an apartment was easy enough, but there was a lot of paperwork involved in order to get a waiver. The apartment I have is very nice, the rent is feasible, the landlord is nice and professional. The parking doesn't apply to me, because there is a bus stop right outside my apartment! I'm not sure if Emerson helps find an apartment, because I took the liberty of finding one myself.

It's New England, You Get Used to It...Eventually
I grew up in New England, so I'm used to the inconsistent weather. One day it wil be 90 degrees, but the next day will be cold and rainy. My advice: always have an umbrella and a jacket, because the weather can change with a snap of the fingers. The weather hasn't affected my campus experience, because there are plenty of things to do outside/inside. I have heard Californians complain about the weather, but if you live in Boston, you have to get used to the weather pretty quick.

Easy Breezy
The financial aid process was very easy. I'm broke, so I needed a lot of financial aid, and my tuition bill was fully covered after my mother completed the FASFA. If you have any problems or concerns, you should call the student services office. They are so helpful. I must have called them at least three times in one day, and they didn't seem annoyed with me, which was great. As long as you follow the deadlines and fill out the paperwork thoroughly, everything will be fine!
