University of Miami Health & Safety was reviewed by drosam1

Very Safe – UMiami is very safe. Although located in Miami, the police keep the campus safe. Blue lights are everywhere if ever needed and you can always get a safe ride from police if you feel uncomfortable. Safety alerts are sent via email if the campus needs to be aware of anything.

University of Miami Drug Safety was reviewed by drosam1
A-

There but Not Overwhelming – No matter what school you go to, drugs will be present. However, here they are nowhere near shoved in your face. If you want nothing to do with any, you have no need to be around drugs. Drinking is more visible around campus, but again, you can easily avoid it if you prefer.

SO Many Options – No matter what type of food you like, you can find it. Go right across the street to Sunset Place for a multitude of restaurants that are all moderately priced!

University of Miami Parking was reviewed by drosam1

Not Yet Mastered – The campus has been trying to improve parking for a while. It's getting better and more convenient but still a bit messy. Try to arrive early for classes in case you cannot find a spot right away

UM is number 38 in the nation for a reason, it's rigorous! We work hard here, even though some may still refer to us as "Suntan U". Professors push you but it's nice to see they care for your success. Advising is actually helpful here. Classes do fill up rather fast but you still get what you need to graduate in the typical 4 years without any problems.

University of Miami Computers was reviewed by drosam1

Easily Accessible – There is WiFi throughout campus which is awesome and there are also plenty of computers throughout campus. The nicest part is printing is free! You get a certain number of prints per semester and it is extremely unlikely you will run out. You can print from anywhere on campus, go to a printer, swipe your student ID and your document you sent to a printer is ready! You can even do this from your own computer not just a UM network computer, if you install the software!

University of Miami Scholarships was reviewed by drosam1

Barely Have to Ask! Although I'm sure there are mixed reviews on this, UM is great with scholarships. Most people I have talked to have openly said they have received a scholarship, and not just loans. I received a scholarship without even having to apply (This may be because I came in as a transfer though, I'm not 100% positive!). The school wants you to succeed and understands it is expensive but they are willing to help you in any way possible from what I have experienced.

Professors Genuinely Care – I transferred to UM my junior year and have had the opportunity to see professors at two schools now. I thought the professors at my previous school were great, but they do not even compare to UM. Professors truly want their students to succeed, especially my psychology professors I have known. They are all very accomplished and can help you make networking contacts too! They know what they are talking about and are always there to help you.

So Many Options! UM has awesome shuttles that take you around campus rather promptly but they also have shuttles that take you to bars on the weekend which cuts back costs drastically! The metro is also right across the street if you want to go to South Beach for only 5 dollars round trip! The school also provides airport shuttles for 10 dollars for Thanksgiving and Winter breaks! So convenient! The police will also pick you up and escort you if at any time you do not feel safe!

University of Miami Campus Strictness was reviewed by drosam1

Equal Punishment for the Crime – UM is strict with drugs, as they should be. There are also penalties for underage drinking but it is somewhat easy to do anyway as long as you are behaved and quiet enough and not seen by officials. DO NOT even try to cheat. UM takes the honor code very seriously.
