Quite the Contrary of What You Read Here
After reading College Prowler before attending AU, I was given the impression (because of the reviews here) that the girls were great looking and the guys aren't... The girls here complain that there aren't many good looking guys and they're all gay and whatnot... Not true. The majority of the guys look better than the girls do. I'm the one having trouble finding pretty girls. They're all cute! Just not.. hot. Very few.
For the girls, actually, YES, there is a big gay population, but we're still around if you look for us ;)

Great If You Like Frats, Great If You Don't
Welcome Week = Frat parties. UNLESS you don't want them. Brothers and sisters are all around but they do not rule the school. It's just extremely fun if you're involved. You can have friends that are involved, and friends who aren't. Chances are, though, your whole freshman year will be full of frat parties in the weekends. And boy are they fun.

Couldn't Be Easier
Okay, so imagine yourself on campus. RIGHT by the two main freshman dorm buildings, Letts and Anderson, there's a tiny downward slope of the street where a few steps away is a shuttle bus exclusive to AU students, which comes by every 10 minutes or so, which takes you to many stops, with a final destination of Tenleytown, the nearby town where everything is located; BestBuy, restaurants, barbers, the metro station (the downward escalators of which are RIGHT where the shuttle drops you off), etc. Everything is walking distance. Get your GPS apps ready.
