Research Is Personalized and Available
As a neuroscience major, as with all science majors at Furman, research is an important component of our education. Professors use research as a teaching tool to maximize the experience students have in their four years. Because we are an undergraduate institution, undergraduates are doing all of the work and getting all of the credit. Academics are demanding and, at times, overwhelming, but professors put a lot of time into students' education so they demand a lot in return.

Downtown Greenville Is Great
Downtown Greenville has great spots to eat that are friendly and accessible. Restaurants are delicious and well placed along Greenville's Main Street area. Parking is free on nights and weekends and Furman students can be found at bars in the area as well as on Falls Park's suspension bridge.

Facilities at Furman Are Beautiful
All of our academic and student life buildings have been recently renovated inside but maintain a southern charm on the exterior. Furman is often recognized as one of the most beautiful campuses in the country with beautiful fountains, excellent landscaping, and a breath-taking lake and belltower. The Duke Library provides a beautiful and spacious environment for students to study and learn in.
