Campus Dining at Lawrence University

Can't Wait to See What the Cafeteria Has Today

I love the food here at Lawrence! The food offered at the Cafe and Andrew Commons is fantastic, so really there isn't much need for going off campus to spend extra money for food. Yes, you'll want to try the local foods, but its extra money for an already kind of pricey meal plan. Every meal plan does cost the same, but the meal plans are very flexible for the students. Also students can get bagged lunches for on the go if need be. Definitely recommended for most of the Conservatory students. The only bummer is the low amount of seafood that offered, but over all, I'm the one girl that gets overly excited for meal time.

Off-Campus Housing at Lawrence University

Dorm Life Is the ONLY Life

First off, everyone is required to live on campus all four years except the returning to school adults. There are plenty of dorms to choose from, and the rooms are quite comfy to live in if you find a bedding arrangement suitable to your style. The cost is pricey, but it is an expensive liberal arts college to begin with. There are apartments owned by the college, but from what I've heard, they're hard to get into without being a senior. To live here in Appleton, Wisconsin, its probably the safest place I've been in my whole life. Crime doesn't seem to be a big issue here. Parking isn't too bad, if you're not a freshmen. Those who do bring cars (which aren't many) either getting parking on campus, or walk five or six blocks to the parking garage, which isn't worth paying a plan for. Have two dollars for each entry and you're set. Lawrence is downtown Appleton, so everything is usually within parking distance.

Just Ask

If you're having problems with money, I heard that the best way is to schedule an appointment with a financial advisor to talk it out. They want the students to come here, so they should help out. I haven't seen much advertisement for the financial aide office, so I have yet to get the courage to go in there.
