From an Engineer's Prospective
Engineering students at Virginia Commonwealth university are hard pressed to find things to complain about. Snead Hall, a brand new engineering building has just been resurrected as of Fall 2008. The building takes on an intimidating yet still classy modern look from the outside. She stands on the corner of Main and Belvedere, the inside is designed through and through with state of the art labs and conference rooms. The new Cary Street Gym is a student athletes dream workout center. Everything from rock wall to vortex whirl pool and LCD television everywhere you choose to work. I couldn't have picked a better place to obtain my B.S. in Electrical Engineering. I know that VCU will continue to exponentially grow and ten years from now i will look back and be so proud of where I obtained my first degree.

Strict Alcohol Policy
Virginia Commonwealth University takes a firm handle on keeping drugs out of the dorm life. If a student drinks inside or around the dorms they stand a very outstanding probability of police involvement. I agree that the school's policy need be strict. However, I also believe that a student should feel comfortable in her/his housing environment. If not they will go elsewhere, do these same things where it may or may not be as safe.

I Like Watching a School Grow While Watching Myself Succeed
VCU has made some drastic improvements in their student environment, especially impacting their engineering students. I have had an amazing time learning with VCU engineering. Over my three years of attending VCU, I have witnessed my university enter new realms of notoriety. Further emphasizing this statement by mentioning, VCU has had two basketball players get drafted by the NBA in two consecutive years-what an outstanding feat. VCU has created a MEGA gym that will only attract more and more ambitious athletes. Not to mention VCU has one of the best Art programs in the country and a Medical school that ranks extremely on a national level. I love my school with a passion & I cannot wait to see where the future takes us.
