Sports Are There, but Not a Priority
We share our athletic department with Pitzer College. Sports are not a super big deal at Pomona College. If you play them, that's great, but the turn out to watch them isn't very large unless it's a game against our rivals, CMS (Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, and Scripps share athletic departments). That said, there are a lot of talented athletes that attend the school; athletics just isn't their number one priority. The games are fun to attend.

Greek Life Is Practically Non-Existant
I think Pomona has two frats (and they may be shared with the other Claremont schools), and I didn't even realize they were there until second half of second semester. Evidently, they throw parties from time to time, I just didn't realize they were the hosts. I don't think there are any sororities.

It's California (I.E. Beautiful)
The weather is typical California weather--that is to say, very beautiful, pretty comfortable, and sunny. It is very hot in the summer, I'm told, and the first month of school is pretty toasty, but after that, it cools down to a much more comfortable temperature. This year was a little unusual in terms of the amount of rain we received (a lot more than usual--heavy rain for several days at a time), but I love rain, so that didn't bother me. Drainage on campus is horrible though (as it is most places in California), so when it rained, certain areas of the street flooded. Other than that, it's perfect weather for laying out in the quad to study or chat with friends.
