The Frat Houses Are Beautiful – Several of the older, larger fraternities have big houses. The smaller ones have chapter "lofts." Sororities just have lodges for meetings. Wednesday night is party night.

West Tennessee Flavor – Martin is home to a lot of "good old country boys." Lots of camouflage and cowboy boots. Lots of "southern girls" too.

Second Safest in Southeast – Martin is the second safest campus in the southeast. There are lights and police call-phones all over campus, students can submit crime tips by text message, police are quick to respond on campus and within the city. There are small things like student theft, but that is generally the fault of the students leaving easy opportunities and not due to a lack of security measures.
