Athletic support at Tulane is virtually non existent. Very few students attend events or get involved in school spirit. The sports teams themselves aren't all miserable although we aren't going to be winning any championships anytime soon but I feel bad that no one supports them. Our football games should not be played in the Superdome. It's cool for the players but no one attends which is ultimately worse for them. You could probably get more students to attend if the team was able to recruit some more good players, win a few more games, and played in a smaller stadium on campus. Really if the teams won more more people would take an interest.

Dining
There are so many GREAT restaurants in New Orleans, and most of them you will find nowhere else. There are many reasonably priced and delicious options around campus and some of them can even be included in meal plans. There are even more options on nearby Magazine Street that you can easily walk to. There are even more options in the Quarter. You can easily take the streetcar from the front of campus to downtown for only a $1.25. Be sure to go to Cafe Du Monde, its super cheap and a New Orleans institution with FANTASTIC beignets.

Drugs and Alcohol
It's New Orleans, drugs and alcohol are easily accessible. Drinking and going out is a big deal on campus and quite a few people smoke as well. Peer pressure isn't too much of an issue people are pretty accepting and there are also a number of people on campus who don't party hard. For the most part its hard to get into serious trouble as long as you use common sense. Getting busted with drugs is much more serious than alcohol and much more likely to get you a trip down to the Parish prison. Alcohol incidents are more of a slap on the wrist than anything.
