Never Have Any Problems
Most Residential Mentors aren't very strict. They understand because they're college students too. As long as you aren't blaring music at two in the morning, you won't be bothered. The police on campus aren't bad either. They are present but once again, as long as you aren't doing anything stupid out in public, you should be fine. The police know that there are parties on the weekend and that people have been drinking but as long as those parties aren't out of control and you aren't partying in the middle of the street they won't bother you.

Winter Is Not Always Fun
I love snow as much as the next person but it can make getting to class a little difficult. That being said, the sidewalks are kept fairly clear and are addressed quickly after a snowfall. It can be cold but it's Michigan, what do you expect? Just bundle up on the cold days and wear a hat and everything will be great.

I Love Everything About It
When I first came to college I had no clue what I wanted to do. After some soul searching I decided on Environmental Geosciences. I've taken a few classes and have loved each one. I honestly don't even mind if the class requires a little extra work than others. I would absolutely do it all over if I could (I'm still only a sophomore so I'm not very far into it, however). I really want to work on volcanoes or do something related to the ocean but if I ended up working on other things like glaciers, geologic history, or hydrogeology I would be very happy. I have a slight concern that I will struggle to find a job but I am fairly confident that that won't be a problem.
