Lots of Options... Out of Your Own Pocket.
We have a great amount of dining near Emerson - loads of choices for every paycheck. Unfortunately, Emerson does not let you use your meal plan at any of these places. Emerson's "Board Bucks" are only good at Emerson institutions - not even the Dunkin Donuts that is in one of the dorms!!

No Single, Straight Males
There is a saying at Emerson: "Assume he's gay, and if you find out he's not, be pleasantly surprised"! All the straight males (for the most part) are taken or not interested/interesting...

Boston Is Best
Boston has a lot of colleges for a reason - its an amazing college city! Most of the people you will see are either students, working class professionals, or the older townies. Its a wonderful city with so much to do.

The Center for Health and Wellness..... Stinks
You have to have an appointment for anything, even if you are deathly ill. I had the swine flu and showed up with out an appointment. They told me to wash my hands and go back to class.
The only way you get in without an appointment, is if you tell them you're pregnant. I hear that works even if you are a guy!

Use the T or Walk!
Boston has one of the best public transportation systems - its very convenient and not expensive to ride. Its also a great walking city - you can walk across most of the city within an hour or two and never feel in danger (unless its after midnight)

Its Available, and the School Will Help
The School will help you find housing, but you are much better on your own. A variety of options are available close to school.
