Not Much Time or Places for Night Life
Tne nightlife around the school is not a safe or interesting one. In addition, the school requires alot of work; therefore, the nightlife is not always an option. But if one must have a night out, I would suggest staying around the campus bars or attending house parties which are cheaper and sometimes safer.

One Hundred Cars for One Parking Space
The parking around ODU is horrible, there is not enough of it. Dozens of cars drivers fight for one parking spot every morning during the school year. The cost is about average compare to other schools. Overall, there is not enough parking and commuter parking garages are far away.

Flooding Is a Problem
The weather in the area is not bad but when a storm hits, everything is flooded around campus. On many occasions the school will close due to a storm because the city floods alot. On the good side, the storms do not happen often, and the flooding is not as big of a problem during a regular rain.
