Close Relationships With Faculty
Professors (especially language professors) give every student in their class personal attention. Whether they do so by inviting the tiny class over for dinner at their house in Gambier for drinks or by altering their office hours so that everyone can stop by to say hello.

What Nightlife?!
There are drunkenfests, if you want them. You are considered an "indoor kid," if you don't. We party on Wednesdays but it isn't required as long as you are out most Fridays and Saturdays. To be blunt, the way that this school is set up, it is cool to drink, dance, and hook up because there is nothing else to do in rural Ohio. We don't actually tip cows.

No Car? No Problem.
If you are bringing a car to campus be prepared to be popular as you will be sharing your spunky little red convertible with all your friends (and some that aren't). Parking is very expensive - 250 buckaroos per semester, a waste of money depending on how many joy rides to Wal-Mart you are going to want to take. But there is a shuttle, running back and forth from Mt. Vernon to Gambier every hour on the hour. Fred is very nice.
