Very Laid Back

I have yet to see a single person be reprimanded. Go to class or don't (as long as you pass). Hide contraband appliances in your closet. Don't let your RA see or smell alcohol. Be reasonably quiet during quiet hours.

I Feel Safe

First of all, this is LA, so obviously there will be crime, but it is almost always committed by non-students and often off-campus. The school takes a strong stance against sexual assault and if you aren't stupid, nothing will be stolen. There is both a walking escort service and a van escort service for late at night if you are scared of walking alone. The campus police are LAPD so you can ask for help if something happened off campus or on campus. Emergency response time is very quick.

The Best!!!

We really do have the best food. While there is a multitude of cafes of all sorts and cuisines on campus that take bruin card, there really is no point not eating in the dining halls and quick serves. We have sushi twice a week, incredible salad bars, smoothies, pizza, sandwiches, chinese food, mexican food, mediterranean food, great pastries, great late night snacks, and anything else you could ever ask for. My personal recommendations: De Neve is great all around, whether at regular meal times of late night. B caf has incredible smoothies and a great caesar chicken wrap. Rendezvous asian-side is big enough for two people to share and is INCREDIBLE.
