Awesome Atmosphere
North and East of campus are pretty affluent neighborhoods which have plenty of things to do. South of campus, there are extensive hiking trails and west of campus is UPitt which has plenty of shops, attractions and places to visit. The whole city is a bus ride away and the whole campus is lit with activities.

Passionate People Everywhere
To be honest, not everyone is as concerned with their looks as you might find elsewhere but that doesn't mean the students here are unattractive by any means. Each student's interests tend to revolve around their major since academics consume most of their time but close to 90% of students make time for friends, clubs, activities so the social life here is really underrated.

Awesome Research Opportunities and Meet Awesome People
Especially in the sciences and engineering, undergraduate research is highly valued and the people you meet will probably help you in the future for networking and what not. The faculty and students are insanely passionate about what they're doing and the philosophy that nothing is more beautiful than someone who loves what they do is held pretty strongly here.
