Newer Facilities
The facilities at Binghamton are extremely modern. The school constantly takes on construction projects and updates their buildings. This year, the lecture hall was renovated and an entire new community was built to replace the old Newing community. Additionally, a new dining hall was established for Newing and Dickinson along with classrooms and lounges inside the new "collegiate center". Currently, the university is adding a new fountain as well as new walkways on the central part of campus. Binghamton maintains and updates their facilities extremely well and the campus looks beautiful!

Communities
I love Binghamton's campus housing! The housing is split into five communities: Mountainview, College-In-the-Woods, Hinman, Newing, and Dickinson. Each community hosts its own share of events to get students involved and encourages socializing. I have lived in both suite and corridor style rooms and have had no problem socializing because other rooms tend to leave their doors (or suite doors) open. Every community has its own charm and is enjoyable to live in!

Health & Safety at Bing
Health and safety are definitely high concerns of any college student. Binghamton excels at both categories. The campus is kept spotless and is a great environment, so health is never a concern. Additionally, Binghamton is a safe campus. Almost anywhere you go, you can find a blue Emergency Light that you can press to call the police in an emergency. I am a sophomore and even walking around at night alone I have never felt uncomfortable. Plus, the school has a "Safe Ride" program set up where you can call to get a ride back to your dorm if you feel uncomfortable. Binghamton's health & safety is extremely well maintained

Transportation
The transportation system at Binghamton is great! The buses are driven by students and come and go from campus frequently. The times are convenient and easy to remember. The buses will take you almost anywhere downtown during the day and additionally take you downtown at night. Besides taking the buses, the cabs are only $3 for a ride downtown during the night. There are multiple convenient options in terms of transportation so it's easy to get where you need to go!

A for Atmosphere
Binghamton University has a very friendly atmosphere! On campus, the people are extremely friendly. People are very approachable and it is easy to ask for help. Off-campus, the people are friendly as well. You meet interesting people everyday through Binghamton. The atmosphere at Binghamton University is diverse!
