Math Major – The math curriculum is stellar; the teachers are willing to help and answer questions. They understand that math can be challenging and dry, and don't intimidate you. I feel comfortable asking any and all questions.

Even though the communication between the teacher and students is limited, the coursework was still intriguing.

You can earn a full scholarship through the entrance exam. If you don't get that, they provide many resources to seek out scholarships.

Advisers at PVCC are more than happy to spend over an hour coming up with the best schedule for you. They have print-outs which list the classes that are transferable to four-year colleges. The advisers also ensure that you're completing your Gen-Eds, or your AGEC. Very helpful and flexible.

I've had a wonderful experience with PVCC - most of the teachers are willing to help you out with difficult coursework. They are understanding and truly want to see you have a smooth college experience. The counselors are always helpful, and will spend over an hour helping you sort our your schedule. The atmosphere is laid-back and friendly, not overly academic. About a third of the student body are older adults going 'back to school.'

Overall, I recommend this college for anyone looking for a stepping stone to a four-year university. A full ride scholarships is relatively easy to get by excelling on their entry placement exam.
