Off-Campus Housing Is a Bit Unsafe !

Although the housing off-campus is relatively cheap, easy to find, and have good transportation systems to and from campus, they are a bit unsafe and can be a bit intimidating to live in. If people living on-campus worry about the shootings, batteries, rape, etc happening on-campus, I cannot imagine what people off-campus must feel !

Very Easy to Get Around

Gainesville RTS makes it so easy to get around town. However, it is a bit limited and there are many of the same things. Many events occur on-campus and the gyms are great, so I find myself hanging out with people on-campus or in their apartments that are a bus ride away. It is a bit expensive to go out but the atmosphere is friendly since everyone is a Gator fan !

Buses Are Good and Bad

The buses run everywhere so that makes it really convenient. However, if you miss the first bus, you risk being late to class because you wait, at maximum, 25 minutes for the next one to arrive. Also, sometimes the buses are extremely crowded and full and so you either stand squished uncomfortably to the person next to you, or you have to wait for the next one.

Parking Is Horrible !

Parking at UF is insane. There always seems to be half the amount of parking spaces as there are students. Because parking is expensive, it causes the buses to be overcrowded and in some cases, very dangerous. If they could make parking a bit easier and more convenient, transportation at UF would be much improved.

Greeks Are Greeks.

I find it difficult to approach people who are apart of fraternities and sororities. They do not seem to give off a welcoming vibe and tend to hang out among themselves. It's like they live in a whole different world from the rest of the people on campus.
