Facilities at Pepperdine University

A+

The School!

Pepperdine has one of the most beautiful and well kept college campuses that i have ever seen. With an annual budget in the hundreds of millions, and only 3000 undergraduates, Pepperdine has the resources to ensure that each and every student has access to an amazing athletics center, beautiful cafeteria, and dorms with comfortable living areas and large plasma screen TV's in all of the common rooms. The campus classrooms are always immaculate, and i see campus maintenance workers planting flowers, gardening, or just cleaning up around campus on a DAILY basis. Pepperdine invests a lot in its image and the quality of its facilities, it really shows!

Campus Dining at Pepperdine University

A+

Healthy and Delicious California Cuisine

Pepperdine has a wonderful cafeteria and food service, despite being a small school. Every day the cafeteria has at least one vegan meal, and they even opened up a small health food store thats like a miniature farmers market! We also have a Jamba Juice on campus, as well as a late night snack restaurant that's open until 4am in the middle of our rec center. They serve Starbucks coffee, and a huge variety of snacks and small meals, like sandwiches and burritos. Overall i would say that the food here is high quality, diverse, and incredibly healthy. the only downside is the cost of a student meal plan can be rather expensive, but i think it's worth it considering the quality of the food!

Overall Experience at Pepperdine University

A+

Pepperdine Is Amazing!

On a daily basis it seems too good to be true. The campus life is incredible, there is a friendly and casual atmosphere, with a TON of vibrant student organizations and activities happening all the time. The weather is sunny 90% of the time, and a few times a week we surf at some of the most legendary beaches in California, which are right in front of the school! Words cannot express how kind and welcoming the atmosphere at Pepperdine is, i wouldn't trade this experience for anything. Despite the high cost of the school, the incredible connections you will make and the overall experience of the school makes it TOTALLY worth it. My professors have been kind and knowledgeable, and most of my classes (YES EVEN GENERAL EDUCATION) have had less than 25 students. While there are a few lecture halls, the school really focuses on giving each student the feeling that he/she is important. I have a counselor that personally helps me choose the right classes for my major, and she even knows me by name! The Campus is immaculate, and the school plans frequent activities. Last semester, the school payed for the entire sophomore class to go on a day cruise to Catalina Island in the Pacific Ocean, as a "Class Bonding Experience", the school is ridiculously cool. I'm in my second year, and i already feel like its going by too fast. I wanted to go to a big school like UCLA or USC, but looking back i can see that i really didn't know what i wanted, and i would have ended up being just a number. Go to a school that cares about its student's, in one of the most beautiful places in the world! CHOOSE PEPPERDINE! AYO WAVES!
