Be Smart
As a freshman, it's pretty easy to get busted for partying in the dorms if you're loud, especially during quiet hours. As an upperclassman off-campus, you have to be careful about noise complaints from neighbors. If you keep these under control, you'll probably be fine. If you do get written up, your first offense is usually a warning or community service.

Lots of Opportunities
Overall, I've loved my time here and being at a small school gave me many opportunities to get involved--for example, working closely with professors and taking on leadership roles in extracurricular activities. However, I dislike the lack of diversity among students, as well as the cliquishness that comes along with being at a small school/

Party Scene Sucks
Muhlenberg's party scene has gotten progressively worse throughout my time here. The school has cracked down on fraternities so not all of them have parties. Sports houses have parties sometimes but after freshman year it gets cliquey and if your friends don't party there, you feel out of place. Bars are popular if you're 21, but they are SUPER strict with IDs, so if you're underage, you're out of luck. I love my school, but its DEFINITELY no party school.

Very White
Muhlenberg's student body is notoriously white. The diversity has increased slightly in the past few years, but a lot of times it feels forced, and students of similar cultural backgrounds tend to stick together. Religiously the campus is much more diverse, though.

There If You Want It
Marijuana is pretty popular here--its not uncommon to see people smoking pot in the quad. However, if you don't use drugs, you won't be pressured and you won't feel surrounded by it. I haven't seen much usage of other drugs, but I'm sure you can find it if you seek it out.

Freshman can't have cars on campus, which is inconvenient, but you can pay for a yearlong membership to the student shuttle which runs twice a week to nearby places. After freshman year, chances are you or one of your friends will have a car which simplifies things. There are bus stations nearby that run to NYC and Philly, too.
