Amazingly Safe
Wellesley is so safe, sometimes when you leave the area you forget to take proper precautions. I have walked around Wellesley after midnight on a Tuesday (when everyone is in their dorms) by myself and felt completely safe. One great safety feature is the escort option. If it is late at night and you're leaving the library you can call campus police for a ride from one place to another.

I Dont Think Wellesley Is Strict....
Although there are policies in place about underage drinking, Wellesley has not actually followed through (to my knowledge) on repercussions. I have been caught drinking underage by campus police and they just asked if I was okay and that was all. While Wellesley is not super strict with drinking, they are strict with noise control. If too much noise is made doing quite hours, you will most likely get notified by your RA and even your RD. Consequences range from a notice to meetings with the RD/possible fines.

Pretty Decent Transportation, Buses Are the Best Option
Taxis in the Boston metro area are insanely expensive. I have taken cabs to numerous places and the minimum I spend is $15(this could be to just go to the mall which is a couple miles away). The best option we have is the Peter Pan bus system, which is the bus company chartered by Wellesley to get students into Cambridge. The bus runs everyday of the week which is very convenient. During the week Monday-Friday (until 6 pm) the Peter Pan is free, which is great. On the weekends the bus is 1 punch from a punch card or one token, which is equivalent to $3. So overall transportation is okay, but waiting for a bus that comes only once an hour can be annoying.
