I have never felt unsafe on campus. Keep the doors locked to avoid people coming in for theft and pranks. Campus security drives around late at night to make sure everything's okay. There are also emergency cords in the bedrooms just incase something does go wrong.

Greek Life
Greek's have no housing, so they live in the dormrooms and go around banging on peoples doors at midnight. They have their friends pick them up outside the dormrooms and their friends never bother getting out of the car and knocking descritly on the Greek's door; instead they beep the horn loudly early in the mornings to wake everyone up. Most the Greek girls have blonde hair and are stuck up and most the guys think they are "all that" as well.

Campus Strictness
They have good policies that people need to learn to avoid by in the dormrooms. Hence the no smoking in the rooms ploicies; they could defently crack down on people harder for that.

Lutgert Hall is located at the main entrance of the school. This is where most upper-level business majors have their classes.

There is parking in front of every dorm. Students who live on campus cannot park on campus until after 5 p.m. during the week. There are many parking garages around campus for commuter students.

This is known as the Tiki Hut located right along the lake. There are many meetings that RAs and frats host around here.

The lake front area at the North Lake Village is home to many activities, including sailing. There is always a lifeguard on duty.

The Wellness Center holds a lot of free services to students. McTarnaghan Hall, in the back, is where students can pay off tuition. The undergraduate student advisers are located on the second floor.

The IT office is located on the second floor. They will help you with any computer problems that you might have. The Counseling & Psychological Services office is also located on the second floor and is completely confidential.

Many students sit on the lawn in between classes and listen to the local bands that come and play at the school. There are also many events, like Eaglepalooza, that are free to the students.

This building is near Lugert Hall and directly across from the new buildings that just went in, Academic Building 7 and Holmes Hall. Students who are in large classes may have their classes in Academic Building 5.

This instructor is helping a student with camera issues for a digital photography class. Teachers are willing to help students pass and some will even offer tutoring sessions at the school. Other students will also hold free tutoring sessions for classes.

There are many architectural stuctures around campus that students have made and founded.

The observation tower is used mostly in the astronomy classes. It is located right behind Academic Building 7 and before the bridge to the modules. There are many places to sit at and around the tower, to have lunch and study sessions.

There are many bike racks around campus, so students can lock up their bikes if they choose to ride to school.

A student can hear the clock tower anywhere around campus, as it rings every half-hour. This helps students get to class on time.

This is the crazy structure at the bus loop. Many students will meet the buses here, along with many of their friends.

SoVi is located next to the freshman dorms. This dining area stays open late, and most students choose to go to SoVi more than any other food place.

In the freshman dorms, there is a kitchen and laundry facility on every floor. Most freshmen choose to live in the freshmen dorms, Everglades and Biscayne.

There is a lot of parking around campus for students, with four levels of parking. Most students choose to park in the front two parking garages, leaving the parking garage behind the library pretty empty.

The new music building has many practice rooms. Florida Gulf Coast University has great orchestras and choral concerts. Sometimes, the choral students even do operas.

There is no smoking in any of the dorm rooms; however, there are designated smoking areas around campus.

Many students have back-to-back schedules and don't have much time to grab something to eat. There are many vending machines in each building so students can grab snacks and drinks. Most teachers also don't mind students eating or drinking in the classes, as long as people clean up after themselves.

Around the school, there are many blue emergency poles. There are also emergency pull cords in each room in every dorm room. Once these buttons are pushed or the cords are pulled, the campus police will be at the place or room within 30 seconds.

Reed Hall is one of the buildings where most students will have classes. It is located at the end of the sidewalk behind Lugert Hall.

There are many free newspapers around the school. Some newspaper boxes require students to swipe their ID cards, but they are still free.

The Artlab is located next to the library and Starbucks, and it holds some artwork that students have done throughout the school year.

There is a basketball court located in North Lake Village, along with a tennis court and volleyball court. If students do not have equipment to play these sports, then they can get them from inside the exercise room (right next to the Alico Arena, so students don't have to go far to get what they need).
