Facilities
kinda looks bad in some areas cause of construction but in terms of aesthetics, it's pretty nice. Recreation center is definitely a plus. They are expanding it to accommodate more people soon. I love the science library, nice rooms to study in, however gets crowded during finals but that's expected.

Not Too Bad
University police are on top of everything. Once in a while you may smell some weed but it's not bad or too disturbing. Designated smoking shacks are enforced. No need to worry about turning into a druggie here.

School policy is strict for a reason and I actually appreciate all they are doing to protect students who are not causing trouble. Quiet hours in residence halls are a great time to study. Even if you party hard, you still need to study hard to stay in school. It's a good balance.

May Take Paperwork but Worth It
You have to stay on top of things when applying for financial aid but if you go to the student services office, they really do help you. Almost everyone I know got something this year despite the UC wide budget cuts. By the way, everyone that helped me were very nice and explained everything clearly.
