Diversity at Wellesley College

B-

You Meet People from Every Type of Background.

We have lots in international students. Every group is well represented. I would say most students are accepting of others. The biggest stark difference is found between different political groups. Most strongly liberal groups do not mesh well with strongly conservative groups. Both groups however are very accepting of all sexual orientations, some more than others but generally a completely safe environment.

There are 2 general groups on campus, those who go off campus to socialize (mostly with boys from nearby schools) and the group who mostly stays on campus to socialize. Both groups do what is easiest for them to find the social atmosphere the are seeking.

Transportation at Wellesley College

B+

Buses to Boston Are Great

It is easy to get into Boston on weekdays; it is free for Wellesley Students. Weekends get tricky until it is after 5pm. Also, Starting Fridays at 6pm until Sundays at midnight, riding the bus costs $3.00. However, the buses run until 3 am on Friday and Saturday nights. It is convenient. Transportation to other hotspots like the local mall or movie theater is limited to certain hours on Saturday afternoons. That can get annoying.

Need-Based

Financial aid is granted based on need. Personally found it fairly generous.
