Good If You Know Where to Go
There are different spots throughout the city that can be fun. If you are in the wrong places it can get dangerous though. Luckily you are very well informed of these bad places when you get here, so you don't have to worry too much. The bars are 21, so that limits the city nightlife. To be honest, you don't need to leave ND for much at all, so not many people end up off campus unless at a friend's house. Chicago is an easy bus away as well.

Traditional but Great
The facilities are very traditional feeling but at the same time fit every need of the students, adding to the feeling of tradition on campus. They don't feel mass produced, and every building has its own character.

Adequet
The computers on campus do their job, and work. The latter is very important for facilities, because they aren't that fancy, and rather aged, but work well and are reliable. Printing is very easy on campus, and there are a ton of printers, which is amazing.

Smart and Nice
The guys are always considered very attractive, the girls not so much. There are definitely attractive girls here, but this is no Arizona State. The nice thing is whoever you talk to, for the most part, will be smart and nice and pleasant to talk to.

Good!
The campus dining halls are actually really good! I haven't gotten sick of them yet. There are plenty of options each night, and you can actually eat healthy if you want to. The other options are Reckers, then LaFun, which has good options like Subway or Burger King. Each option has quality food.

FYS Is Useless, Majors Are Good
The First Year Studies program is way too powerful, resulting in a restrictive first year. It has a good idea behind it, but there needs to be major changes, like its ability to override the departments at the school, and their inability to change schedules for needs. The different schools at Notre Dame do a much better job of acting for the students, not just what is most efficient.

Campus Is Safe!
There were four crime alerts last semester. I walk around alone all the time and not once have I felt threatened. I am male though, so if I were a female it would be slightly different. Even still everyone says how safe they feel on campus.

Very Lenient
I sent the forms in two months after the deadline and still received the financial aid I needed and would have gotten had I sent them in on time. They were very good about this, and I thought I got a generous amount.
