How is the social work program?

I am a sociology minor so as far as that goes, UK has very interesting classes that keep students involved and thinking about the world in a sociological perspective.

I love the social work program at UK. They offer a variety of program to study from clinical, family studies, child welfare, drug abuse, elderly care, etc. They almost host weekly events so you can look to where you want to do internships, research or practicum (graduate years) projects. I felt so prepared for graduate school from the program.

How is the social work program at uga? Like professors, internships, class sizes and choices, overall experience? Thanks!

I have been thinking of taking a class on social work and recently asked my advisor those same questions. The class sizes are much smaller than most classes at uga and the staff is said to be very good and passionate.

How is the social work program at state? Like the professors, internships, class sizes and choices, overall experience? Thanks!

My experience has been very well. As long as you are going to class, paying attention, and making strong efforts, professors find favor with you. Also, there are plenty of staff and faculty willing to help if you only ask.

I'm really interested in hearing a students overall perspective about life at EKU. It seems like a great school and I want to know more! Also, are most of the students from in state? And do people tend to go home on the weekends? Thank you!

Yes most students are from in state but it really depends on where you live if you go home on weekends. My parents live 2 hours away so sometimes I go home on weekends and sometimes I don't, I have friends from around where I live so it really depends on whats going on in Richmond and whats going around where our parents live if we go home on weekends.
