It Can Good

I just changed my major, originally I wanted to major in Business Administration but there wasn't any good programs for business. So I decided to change my major to English just because there are better programs, internship opportunities, and more assistance from professors and TAs.

Nightlife at University of California - Santa Cruz

C-

Not Much Nightlife

The nightlife can depend, for 21 and over there are bars and some dancing venues. But for the younger students between 18-20, there are only some house parties and hang out places, but there are no 18 and over clubs in Santa Cruz or dancing venues for entertainment. House parties are sometimes free and it can get good sometimes. There are beaches and nearby cities, such as San Francisco and San Jose but the transportation to get there is not reliable, since the buses stop running after 12am.

Parking at University of California - Santa Cruz

D-

Not Good, Expensive!

The parking situation is very limited. First of all freshmen are not allowed to bring their cars to campus, and other students that do bring their cars have to pay a fee of about $400 per quarter. If a student parks their car on campus without a permit they will get a ticket. The availability is okay, there are lots of spaces but there are many students who have permits so sometimes it can be difficult to find parking near your home or class.
