Campus Dining at California State University - Northridge

C+

Campus Dining at CSUN

I wouldn't consider it "dining", the options we have are Burger King, Panda Express, Pollo Loco, Subway and a Smoothie area. I believe that the options could've been thought up better and healthier. However, the campus owned cafeteria has a variety of foods to serve from breakfast, lunch and dinner. With that in mind, the prices seem quite too much for the the food is worth; from experience, for one pizza (no drink or side food) cost more than a subway sandwich. The food is somewhat unhealthy and fatty. The coffee shop is great! But the prices for drinks are also too much.

Campus Housing at California State University - Northridge

D+

CSUN Dorms

The best option would be not living in the dorms, the kitchen is very outdated and the furniture is quite uncomfortable. I don't quite understand the "not smoking on the balcony" policy since most of the students are 18+. Being randomly living with 3 other strangers is stressful and can affect academic performance. Out of living in dorms, I prefer an apartment because Housing is way to expensive for what it's worth.

Overall Experience at California State University - Northridge

A-

Experience at CSUN

I like CSUN for it's diversity, but like any other area, those specific groups stay separated. I like the classes and several professors. I like the botanic gardens and nature that is placed within this campus. I like CSUN for its peaceful areas and tall trees that provide so much shade on a hot day, considering it's located in the Valley. If I could, I wouldn't choose CSUN because of the cost of education.
