How can you check your application status? Is it on wolverine access?

Yes, it is on Wolverine Access.

How can you tell?

I have the same question because it doesnt say if the application is complete or incomplete

If it says no holds, then the application is complete. Once they make a decision, when you click 'Application Status' a view decision link will appear.

Is the admitted student tour and presentation informational and helpful?

Yes! It's free and very informational. I'm so glad I made the time for it before I came here.

Which dorm is best for freshman going into engineering?

I personally have no experience with the Honors Quad but I have heard that it is a great experience and full of really smart people.

Are there a lot of out of state students who go here?

Yes, a lot of in-state students go here. But there's also a pretty good number who are from other states.

A lot of out of state students go here. There is even a dorm for foreign students. Most out of state students are from Maryland, Florida, or Virginia, but there is a lot of diversity.

Yes, there is a lot of diversity on campus and there are many people from other states.

What is the deal with the freshman housing through campus connect? Is that something to consider or do most live in dorms?

Housing food is great for people who choses to live in the dorms! It's so cheap and there are many choices. Depends on the location of the dorm, some dining halls are better than others. The new Gordon Commons has lots of choices.

How long does it take to get from the southeast dorms to lakeshore dorms? And how long does it take to get into the city from campus?

Southeast to Lakeshore takes about 15 minutes so not too far. Depends on where in the city you want to go but the capitol is just a short walk up state street. Also, there is a fantastic bus system that can get you anywhere.

Thanks that helps! And do you know anything about the wise program?

Where is the best area/dorm to live in first year at Wisconsin- Madison

Southeast for extroverts and crazier parties, Lakeshore for the more relaxed/laid-back experience.

Smith Hall!

Apartments in the area are by far cheaper than the dorms and are usually nicer anyway, especially considering you can get your own bathroom and kitchen. But if the social life is your primary concern, then dorms will probably be best for you.
