Not Too Strict I Guess
There a lots of ways to get out of any rules Stanford has. For example if a class has a pre-requisite, a lot of the time you can talk to a professor to get out of it. If someone has to go to the hospital then you will probably get in trouble for under-aged drinking, but other than that not really.

Not Bad
Stanford has a reputation for its bubble - meaning students hardly ever leave campus. But if you do, we have a free bus system that will take you to grocery stores and target/walmart etc. Other than that you have to find a friend with a car. Except CalTrain which will take you to San Francisco. Fun, but a little pricey.

Excellent
Financial Aid is awesome. The only person I know with a problem has issues because her Dad died in high school and things with insurance are crazy, but she talked with financial aid and they figured out a way for her to be able to stay here without too much in loans. I am frickin broke and I get to live more or less the same way as the super rich people do. Pretty awesome!
