It Can Be Better but Its Okay
The availability of housing is alright but rent is very high especially if it is close to transportation and campus. There is parking provided but some of the landlords are too demanding. The safety is not that good, there is not that much patrolling in the city itself; however, campus is very safe.

There Is Access but It Is Not Popular
There is a drug scene in Santa Cruz, but it is not so big. It really depends on the person and who you hang out with. If people are doing drugs, they are usually just smoking, there are not big dangerous drugs.

Alright Parking
There is parking available all over campus. The only problem is the cost of the permit, it is pretty pricey and some students can not afford to bring their cars to campus. There is a lot of parking available, but the convenience depends on the individual, since some parking is far from certain buildings and dorms.
