Many Options at UMD

There is a large variety of housing at Maryland, but as a freshman last year, your dorm rooms are not very big in comparison to other universities freshman housing that I had seen. With that said though they are pretty inexpensive and provide their functional purpose, housing. South campus housing is the best, usually only upperclassmen get the nice on campus housing because it is based on priority numbers. But the new oakland hall is very nice and I think upperclassmen will start staying there as well. Best off campus housing is commons because it still almost is apart of the university campus and is always what the upperclassmen stay in.

Greeks Have a Lot of Control

Greek life is def a big part of the atmosphere at college park, however there is a lot of exclusion that not being in greek life has on people who are just looking for a place to have a good time. Each frat or sorority has a different perception on different campuses, and here is no different. Their are many housing options available for people in greek life who want to live in their respective greek life home
