The campus police can be strict...
The campus police can be strict when it comes to drinking and doing drugs, but you can tell it is because they are concerned for our safety. It's pretty serious if you get caught and gets more serious the more times you get caught. Just don't be obnoxious about it.

The computer network is okay. I've never used a computer lab here on campus but when I do pass by one they always seem to be crowded. I think having your own computer in college is a must. We have Wi-Fi in the dorms and everything.

The drug scene at TCU isn't that...
The drug scene at TCU isn't that big. I have personally never been asked to try anything here. If people are doing drugs, it usually means they're smoking. Drinking is what most people prefer here.

The atmosphere in Fort Worth is...
The atmosphere in Fort Worth is very country. Not country in the sense of hillbillies, but in the sense of western-country. Many people wear cowboy boots on a regular basis. There are a couple of small universities scattered throughout the Metroplex, such as one of TCU's biggest rivals, Southern Methodist University in Dallas. The zoo is really cool and fun here. It's been consistently named one of the best zoos in the country.

The restaurants off campus are...
The restaurants off campus are amazing. There are so many cuisines to choose from within walking distance: Mexican, American, Italian, sports bar food, etc. Dutch's is a really good burger joint within walking distance from TCU.

Public transportation is good...
Public transportation is good around TCU. The Fort Worth bus system runs right through campus and you can usually get anywhere on it. There is also a train that runs back and forth between Dallas and Fort Worth with many stops throughout the metroplex. There is also a bus that drives students from the parking lot to wherever they need to go on campus late at night.

Technology Is Alright
While we have many computers in the library, most of them are PCs. If you're in the school of journalism, you need to use Macs and there are about 8 of them in the library. There are many Mac labs in the journalism school, but that isn't open late into the night when you're doing projects. You get 200 free prints a semester, so that is very nice. Wireless access is shaky and definitely needs to be improved.

Whose House Are You Going to?
There are a couple of great bars around TCU's campus that many people frequent, such as The Aardvark, Moon Bar, Halo, and The Pub. Many people prefer to go to house parties because it's free and you can usually find a ride to and from. Sometimes at Club Mystique rappers will come and perform like Lil' Flip or Baby Bash, which is always really fun. Many underagers have fakes so it makes it easier for them to get in.

Show Me the Money
Many TCU students are already really well off, so financial aid should be giving more to students that are more deserving. I received a decent amount of financial aid, but it took a while.

TCU Is Safe
There has never been an instance where I have felt unsafe at TCU. The police on campus constantly patrol all areas of the campus by car, foot and Segway. If you use common sense, such as don't walk alone at night if you're a female (use the free escort service), lock your doors, etc, chances are you won't run into trouble.

Same Ol' Same Ol'
There is one main dining hall at TCU: The Bluu. It's okay...for the first three weeks as a freshman. After that you realize there is no variety and it's probably not as healthy as it should be. There are other places on campus such as Frogorrito, 1873 and about three other places to get snacks.

Might as Well Not Bring Car
TCU's parking is awful. AWFUL. Commuters often have to arrive on campus about 30 minutes before class starts to attempt to find a parking spot. Freshman have a lot of their own, but anyone can park in it. It is nearly impossible to find parking, and often times you'll find yourself parking in overflow. Fear not, there are talks of a parking garage coming to TCU soon.
